With all the basics in place, you can start swimming for real ! You'll be confident being in the water, you can move on to learning swimming strokes, the proper body position for kicking and breathing, and how to propel yourself through the water efficiently. You will find that with the proper technique, swimming can also be relaxing and not frightening or strenuous at all !

I have success coaching all levels of swimmer - from fresh beginner through gold star award swimmers. Developing all my swimmers talents is what I am all about. Making sure my swimmers understand all the energy systems, the periodization of these systems, is a big part of getting my swimmers to take ownership of their ability. I want them to think for themselves, and use the knowledge I have imparted to them to maximize the potential. I have had students perform speed swim in 100m freestyle in gold star award test clocked 1:50 min.

I'll be there to guide you all the way. All too soon, you'll be happily and confidently making waves in the pool, and will be wondering why you had not started earlier. Nothing's better than conquering your fears, plunging into crystal clear waters and using your new-found skills to keep yourself fit and healthy!

    FACT ABOUT SWIMMING

    Swimming is one of the most low impact sports you can find. Swimming works more muscle group at once than any other sport. Swimming is an excellent form of exercise because it simultaneously develops & maintains muscular tone. Once you have learnt the proper breathing techniques & swimming strokes, you can continue to swim as long as you like; age is no barrier.

    It's a good choice for people who want to exercise, but who might have problems with weight-bearing land-based activities. For example, swimming might suit those who have arthritis or back problems, weight problems or are pregnant.

    In water you weigh about a tenth of your normal weight, and the range of motion for the less fit person is much wider, as the water supports the weight of your limbs.

    ADVANTAGE OF SWIMMING

    Children who swim eat and sleep better. They are also more mentally alert.

    Swimming is, generally, kinder to your body than land-based exercise because your natural buoyancy in water helps you avoid the jarring knocks that can cause injuries.

    To capacitate children with a life skill that enables them to save their and others lives in water if the need arises. Reduce the chances of you and your children drowning by learning to swim. Statistics have revealed that, over the years drowning have not decreased. That?s why we teach and emphasize safety and rescue topics with our swimming programs
